"My truck is a 2018 Ford F-150 Platinum Ecoboost 3.5 4x4. The Platinum comes with memory seats which, as others have stated, is needed. I modified the addresses I posted earlier...which is also well documented. The thing I was missing is that the mirror tilt just takes on whatever was saved in the memory button until you change it. So when I went into reverse, the mirror went through the tilt procedure...but it was set to the non-reverse setting. So it simply just didn't move because they were the same. I had to go into reverse and stay there, pick a side, press the mirror button for that side, adjust the mirror down to the position I wanted, and then re-save the memory position. So apparently the memory button has 2 settings....a reverse and a non-reverse. Did the same for the other side. And now it works. I do wish that if I select a mirrow via the buttons, it will stay selected even after turning off the truck and turning it back on. I almost always use the right side mirror when backing in. I miss the tow mirrors I had on my previous Fords with the dedicated lower mirror. I will probably replace these mirrors with tow mirrors.
The above reverse tilt mirror calibration procedure, as copied from other places, is:
1) Switch the ignition on
2) Press the memory button
3) Select the mirror you want to adjust
4) Put your vehicle into reverse (R) and adjust the mirror where desired
5) Hold the memory button for 5 seconds to save the setting
6) Press the mirror button and return to park (P)
7) Hold the memory button again
When in reverse push mirror button to tilt, Push to return it to normal position"
